Part 1

A fire ravages through the territory of HawkClan, destroying everything left of the clan.

Four kits, Dazzlekit, Blazekit, Smallkit, and Daisykit, survive by hiding deep within a cave.

When the fire has passed, they peek out, only to see no survivors and ash where their home once was.

They return to the safety of the cave to discuss their options.

Part 2

Having reached 6 moons old, Blazepaw assigns himself as a medicine cat apprentice.

He requests Smallpaw to be a warrior apprentice with the understanding that he will function as their leader.

Smallpaw agrees.

Dazzlepaw agrees to be a warrior apprentice.

Daisykit is still too young to be apprenticed, and seems neutral on it all.

Part 3

Smallpaw and Dazzlepaw go out on patrol, but run into a mysterious cat. In their panic, they rush back home.

The mysterious cat follows them, and finds their home.

Slight has joined PhoenixClan.

4 (Part 1)

Slight is welcomed into the clan, as Smallpaw's "deputy", though she fails to grasp Clan customs or the warrior code.

Slight agrees to mentor both Smallpaw and Dazzlepaw, and takes them out hunting.

While focusing on Dazzlepaw, Smallpaw, the better hunter of the two, heads out on his own.

Too late, he smells a rogue cat.

Slight and Dazzlepaw are shocked to hear him scream.

4 (part 2)

Slight, hearing Smallpaw's screams, remembers the words of her late mother.

She jumps into action, attacking the rogue with no hesitation and slamming him into the ground as hard as she can.

She checks on Smallpaw; badly hurt, but alive.

Dazzlepaw hovers over him, herself shocked at the damage.

Slight, having let her guard down to check on Smallpaw, is attacked by the rogue.

Somehow, the rogue is able to slice her neck right open. How could a cat do such damage?

She makes a plea to StarClan as she fades.

4 (part 3)

Slight awakens in StarClan, greeted by Luckstar, the last leader of HawkClan.

Luckstar enthusiastically tells her that she can return to protect the kits so long as she is willing to accept the responsibility of being a leader to them all.

Slight fearlessly agrees, fully ready to risk her life for them all.

Slightstar awakens to the land of the living, and commands the rogue to leave, the voices of StarClan echoing through hers.

4 (part 4)

The rogue is chased off, and Slightstar comforts Smallpaw and Dazzlepaw.

Blazepaw and Daisykit feel something in the air shift.

Just as they are discussing the change, Slightstar, Smallpaw and Dazzlepaw return. Blazepaw rushes over, eager to help.

The rogue rushes back to his group, barrelling through his fellow rogues, eager to meet with his leader, Wolf.

He brings news to Wolf the moment he finds him:

Clan cats, spotted in their territory.

Wolf is VERY interested.
