Fontibelle is well known among Brantians as the most useless Duvonne of the bunch. Unlike his siblings, who all have successful careers, Fontibelle is known for his lack of success in any of his endeavours. Much of his early life was spent tormenting his siblings as much as possible, and much of his adult life has been spent trying and failing to gain his father's approval. He now hides behind an egotistical persona to hide his inner fears of being abandoned for his lack of talent.
Fontibelle, despite being a seemingly useless Duvonne, has incredible magical potential. His magic is so potent that many powerful magical beings flock to him. All of this distresses Fontibelle to a comical degree. He cannot understand what makes his magic special or unique, and he fails to control it, being left with little choice but to hope that one of these powerful beings will assist him in controlling this power.
More than anything, Fontibelle is best described as "pathetic." He cries often, flees at any convenient moment, and does what he can to avoid conflict at every turn. He is getting better with time, especially with the help of Eneida, who he sees as another mother (much to the hilarity of everyone, since he towers over her), but his weak nature is still imbedded in his being.
