In contrast with its host's personality, Bug is a shy and soft-spoken individual. Unaccustomed to making its own decisions, it often waits for orders to follow. It's not used to seeing the beauty of life, so it's often wide-eyed and innocent to the world around it. As he shares Vernon's body and wish, he also shares his powers of buffing teammates and powered flight.
Bug is infatuated with Elli, as she is the first human to show it kindness, so it feels safe around her. It is slightly scared of its host, Vernon, but still puts its foot down when he is being ridiculous. It likes to watch Danny typing code, and finds him nice to be around, as a quieter person. It is frightened of all of the other kids, but still tries to socialize to the best of its ability.
